One of the greatest natural events in the world takes place in Kenya. The great migration features hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras dodging crocs while attempting to cross the Mara River. The “Big Five” animals can all be found in the various national parks and private conservancies. Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in all of Africa and is wonderful to see jutting up from the floor of the savannah. While capital city Nairobi may not be the safest city, it does have the world’s only national park to be inside a capital city. Viewing rhinos, lions, giraffes and other safari species with the city’s skyline in the background is amazing. Hakuna matata!
