Going from the tallest mountains in the world to sea level at the Indian Ocean, India has not only a vast and varied history, but also a wealth of geographical wonders. Many civilizations have risen and fallen among the deserts and jungles, but India long endures.
The Taj Mahal, the Ganges River, the birthplace of at least two of the world’s great religions, tigers roaming in national parks, Bollywood…. India has some of the best known trademarks in the world. It also has crushing populations in places like Mumbai and Kolkata and some of the world’s most polluted air. Global warming is making many places inhospitable as well.
