Day 2

Buffalo: the first stop in the journey around the world! Doesn’t every Round the World trip start in Buffalo? While we should have been excited and giddy about our upcoming flights, we instead spend time getting last minute items completed. The excitement is being reserved for the big game today. Energy is building up today for the Bill’s playoff game today at 4:30! We will spend our day today being immersed in the energy that is palpable in every place we go, from banks to grocery stores to the local gas station, the enthusiasm is evident in the red/white/blue T-shirts, hats, and even socks that adorn the population.

OHHHHHH the agony of defeat!!! The Bill’s lost in a controversial game that went into overtime. Guess we don’t have to worry about where we will watch the Bills’ Super Bowl win while in New Zealand.

Dave’s comments: While the Bills lost, it was a good game. Plus, the Sabres won earlier in the day. PLUS PLUS, the Patriots lost! Ding, Dong the witch is dead! They will not become only the second team to play in 4 straight Super Bowls. Only the Bills can claim that title. And while some people point out that the Bills did not win any of those games, I point out that they had to win a lot of games over that 4-year period to get to those games.
